10 Things of Thankful Fall Series

Ten Things of Thankful

By Mary Hill

Play this as your read. πŸ™‚

1.  I know now what good health looks like.  I haven’t been exactly the picture of it because after my surgery, I developed two post operative skin infections that are fighting one another.  I have to take medicines for my arthritis that make me more prone for infections.  I had quit them a week prior to surgery, but I still developed the infections anyway. Like Lizzy says, bugger. πŸ˜›

I have to take a medicine to cure one that makes the other worse and vise versa.  Today, though I woke up feeling better and the spots look better.  If they get larger or worse, I have to call the doctors immediately. Just pray that I want have to be put in the hospitals and on IVs.  Even if I am though, I will have my computer to write and books to read.

2.  On the bright side, my wonderful family pampers me. πŸ™‚ Look what my husband arranged to have delivered from a neighboring town to cheer me up. I haven’t been out of the house all week. He didn’t even ask me. He just surprised me with it. :*

3.  Here is a picture of the wonderful guy with my sweet grandson recently.  Just looking at these two cuties together brightens anyone’s day.

4.  I have had to take it easy and do nothing. Bliss. I still try to do simple things like the laundry, but my family is there to help me.

5.  I finished books for reviews and will have them up later today on Mary-andering Among the Pages. Link over if you get a chance for check them out. Please join my other page and sign up for email updates too. I follow back.

6.  I found a great giveaway to take part in for Christmas cash. If you have never participated in one before, please consider this one.  It costs a little bit to help raise the prize money. I look at it like a win, win though. I know that someone who really needs the funds to buy Christmas for their family will win.

7.  I can enter too and have a chance to win because the programs that do these giveaways are so random in their winner selecting. There is nothing an organizer can do to rig these contests.  Also, I grow my blog and am eligible for more products for reviews as a result. The more Facebook friends, Twitter followers, and other social media connections I make results in eligibility for better affiliate programs. I am real picky and moving slow in this area. I want to represent products I believe in that will help my readers and that really help others. Here is the linkup for the giveaway. If I get the most referrals, I will win a $50 giftcard.

8.  I am so looking forward to November 1.  I am working on such a great month-long blog series. The writing is going so well.  Writers don’t you get that feeling in your being when you are on to something, and you just know it is going  to be great project? I published a preview of this series earlier this week : A Loving Mother’s Legacy. If you have the time head over and read it. I would love honest, in-depth feedback on ways to improve this post.

9.  Would you like to work with me and proofread each other’s posts? I don’t have anyone in my family that writes or enjoys writing. They read my posts, but don’t catch mistakes.  I would return the favor and read your posts when you have them ready and send you a critique and list of corrections. Fill out this form if you would like to work together.  If I get enough response, we can turn it into a program and have lots of bloggy buddies working together.

10. Another week to celebrate life and happiness. I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Ugh, infections of any kind are miserable. When they are near an incision site, even worse! Hope they clear up soon!

Ah, Mary. I haven’t heard that song in such a long time. I love it, not just because it’s a beautiful song, but because it brings back such lovely memories for me. Thank you for putting it in your post today.
I pray your meds do as they are supposed to and you are all healed up right quickly.

hope you feel better soon, and one of the good things about feeling better, is that it feels so good when it happens! (makes a kinda sense)

Loved the picture of your husband and grandson. Such a lovely picture of them together. And what a nice and amazing gesture your husband did with bringing you that meal. Seriously do hope you are feeling and doing better. I will definitely keep you in my thoughts and prayers, Mary. And very excited for your November blog series now πŸ™‚

Heheheh is your grandson holding a bottle of hot sauce in that photo? That’s AMAZING πŸ˜€ They both look so happy there.

I really hope your infections clear up quickly with no need for hospital intervention, and that the surgery can happen soon. What a pain in the bum to have to wait! Ack!

Looks like you’re working really hard to improve your blog – I hope it pays massive dividends after all the effort you’re putting in πŸ™‚

Hi, thanks. My grandson had hot sauce in his hands. He loves the stuff. He also loves lemons. The surgery took place. The infections are near the incision sites. Made even more progress today. Thanks for your prayers.
