Many blessings are found in the book of Psalms.
In Psalms 5, David reminds us that God will bless the righteous and favor and surround them with shield.
In Psalm 21, David exhorts us to consider that all his and our blessings come from the joy of salvation of our Lord. He blesses him and us with goodness, life, destruction of our enemies, His strength and His power.
David wrote Psalms 65 to emphasize how blessed we are that God has chosen to dwell with us in His house, courts, and Holy Temple.
In Psalms 67, the Chief Musicians, sings a prayer to God for blessings and mercy. He sings that God’s face will shine upon us. He also exhorts the people to praise God so that the earth will yield increase and so that God shall bless all even unto the ends of the earth.
He blesses us in Psalm 107 when we cry out in our troubles. He delivers us from destruction (vs.20). When we remember to praise Him in our churches, he will bless us and multiply our fruitful harvests of fields and vineyards and will not let our cattle decrease. He feed our hungry souls with His Holy Word.
These Psalms admonish to remember that we are blessed when call upon Him in times of distress. We are blessed when we remember His goodness and deliverance. He blesses us when we respect His Kingdom and authority over us.
Through the Psalmists, God admonishes us to remember blessings come from obedience to Him. When we bow down to His Holiness and authority blessings will flow into our life with the force of rapid rivers. When we strive to apply His words to our lives, he blesses with His holy presence.
Blessing can spring from our actions, but some blessings are also unmerited such as Christ salvation that He brought to us through the ultimate sacrifice.

Glad to see you linked up this week! 🙂 I love going to the Psalms when I feel depressed or discouraged. Psalm 130 was a huge encouragement to me a couple of years ago.
Hi, Mary. Thanks for the lovely reminder to go back to the Psalms again and again so that we can fix our eyes on what we have and not what we lack. I love the Psalms. We are truly blessed, aren’t we? 🙂
This: “Blessing can spring from our actions, but some blessings are also unmerited such as Christ salvation that He brought to us through the ultimate sacrifice.” So good.

Thank you for reminding us that blessings come in so many different ways.
I find it to be so important to write down our blessings so we can remember them later.
Happy 4th of July

My favorite blessings from the Psalms are from Psalm 103 especially … God forgives all our iniquities and God heals all our diseases.
Thank you for the encouragement from the Psalms remind us of all the ways that we are truly blessed.
What blesses me the most about the Psalms is the realness of them; showing flawed people, just like me, who cry out to their God about their struggles, yet remember God’s goodness despite it. They remind me that the Lord understands and knows our struggles and we can always approach the throne of Grace.
