What Kind of Book Reader are You Linky

October 7, 2013 By Mary Hill 2 Comments

By Mary Hill

Welcome to my Monday stack. I have just one new book in the stack this week. I received it as a prize from Faith at http://the-life-of-faith.blogspot.com/: Passion Pursuit Bible Study.

I plan to really dig into this study in the coming weeks. I am so appreciative to Faith for giving me the opportunity to win and then sending me the book when I won. 🙂

Goals for the coming week are simple. I have an old stack of books to finish and I have a book tour date to fulfill.

So here is my tentative line up for the week:

  •  Finish and review Confessions of the So Called Middle Child. (Going to be great review. I so love this book so far.)

  • Finish and review Starry Night. My date on the tour is this Thursday; so, you don’t want to miss out. Plus, there will be a giveaway!
  • For some other book fun Lori, creator of A Bright and Beautiful Life, had this great reading survey up on her blog at the end of last week. I loved the questions and thought I would share my answers here. Maybe we can get a little hop going, and you can share yours answers too. Link up below if you do and be sure to link up over at her blog for new Monday link up party. Here are my answers to her reading survey.

There are two types of people.

    1. Those that only read one book at a time.

    2. Those that read more than one book at a time.

I agree with Lori, I read more than one book at time. I have several book-related projects going on at a time. I can keep up with the plots, characters.  Sometimes, though, when I start re-reading a book, I have to back up a few pages to get my bearings in the story. What about you?
There are two types of people.
    1. Those that underline and write notes in books.
    2. Those that don’t.
I never underline or write notes in books. I love to pass them on and love to keep a reading journal or notebook at all times. Now, that I blog about my book adventures, I record many of my thoughts and reading reactions here.  Are you an underliner? What best describes you?
There are two types of people.

    1. Those that read a book cover to cover.
    2. Those that pick through a book.
I go with numbers 1 and 2. Some books I can’t put down and read cover to cover, especially a good mystery or romance. I tend to pick through a nonfiction book and meander around to get the gist of the book. If I am real interested in a particular chapter I will read it start to finish.
There are three types of people.
    1. Those that don’t like to read.
    2. Those that like to read.
    3. Those that love to read.
I guess this one is obvious. I know if you are reading this page more than likely, you agree with No. 3 too.

Love this from her page too. Do you relate? I so do.

I am most definitely a multi-book reader, sometimes an underliner, nearly always a cover to cover reader, and obviously an “I love to read”-er!
