Change has come to my Fridays. Good change. LisaJo Baker passed the baton to another host to continue the Five Minute Friday tradition. Her name is Kate Motaung. The community is still strong and loving. I am rejoining this week to share my five minutes on the word: fill.
8:55
Fill my days with love and happiness. Fill my daughter’s day with love, happiness, and wonder. Fill my husband’s days with health, love, and happiness. Prayers that I repeat in my mind daily.
I seek first His kingdom and all these things He shall fill my basket: love, happiness, peace, wonder, health, and beauty, pressed down running over, filled to pass capacity.
I admit I don’t fill my time wisely. I don’t always seek Him first. I don’t always fill my life with His words and promises. Sometimes, I am empty. It is my failure to fill my life with Him.
How do I fill my life with Him? I strive to pray to the Holy Spirit that I fill my life with His words, His songs, and His love. I concentrate on His Holy Spirit and pray that He fills me and dwells in me so that I bear His fruit.
Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
I have a prayer for my sisters in this community too:
Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
9:00
I also enjoy joining these other hops regularly: Missional Women, God’s Girl, Essential Things Devotion Fridays, and Create With Joy.
Beautiful words for this FMF post. I too think Romans 15:13 is perfect! Blessings!
Such heartfelt words, Mary. Romans 15:13 is one of my favorite verses. Oh, that the Lord might fill us with His goodness each and every day and experience His joy and peace as only He can give. Thank you for sharing.
