Welcome to my historic Upstate South Carolina. I hope you enjoy the pictures of the area where I grew up and live still today. I found many of these pictures on websites about the history of my region. Some of the pictures were also taken by me and are noted. My upstate South Carolina is imprinted on my heart and mind. I love this area. It is my home.

1768 Horns Creek Church in former Edgefield, now Saluda SC
Horns Creek Baptist Church founded in 1768 was the church of the men and women who fought the Revolutionary War. It is in the neighborhood of Millie Odum’s husband Capt. Benjamin Ryan.

I’ve been to North Carolina, but I have never been to SC. It looks gorgeous!
These are so cool! I love that waterfall picture! I’ve seen old photos of where I used to live in New Jersey, but now I live in Arizona with my hubby and son. Arizona is only about 100 years old in statehood. I guess that would be a cool project to see how things have come along. The funny thing about where we live right now is it is just a few years old. Less than a decade ago people tell us it was just a dirt, desert pile. Thanks for sharing with us on Mommy Monday! xoxo

Hi there! I’m a fellow SC Blogger. I lived in the upstate (GSP) for over ten years – just moved to Charleston last year. I very much miss it – especially in the Fall. And I miss being able to hop in the car and be in the mountains in less than an hour.
