It has been a snowy day in my region. We are waiting for round two now and are expecting a major ice storm. Here are some sites from my day.

We made it through what our local forecasters are calling round one of the major winter storm for February. Now, we are waiting for the next round which is going to knock our region for a loop or so they predict.
We are expecting another 5 inches of snow tonight and then about 1.5 inches of ice on top of it. How much ice or how much snow we have depends on the timing.
Southerners don’t do well in this kind of weather. For the last two days, we have raided the store and bought all the bread and convenience foods that don’t need cooking; we have bought up ice melting stuff; we have bought shovels, sleds, thermals and other various cold winter stuff that we probably will put in the back of our closets and forget about.
Now we are ready for the two-day ordeal, maybe. I hope it is only two days. If you are in the Southern United States are you getting snow or ice tonight? Share links to your snow picture posts below! In the meantime, hope you like this parody I found on You Tube. Great singing and funny.

I’m on the North Shore of Louisiana, and we had ice. Being from the north I found it funny how people in the south reacted to snow, just a dusting. We have not seen in four years, we lived five years in W. TN, and there we had snow. I must say I agree with the two teens, I miss it, thanks for sharing once again on Tuesdays With a Twist.l
I think we may finally be getting a little break from the ice, snow, and freezing temps up in the Midwest! (IN). We may even get above 50 by Monday!! We got our 12″ of snow a week ago, so we will probably have a flood of melted snow and mush, next week! Stay safe and warm down south!!!

I understand. The Southern area has really been hit hard by the snow and iciness. Sometimes those things occur, but usually leave very quickly. This is different. Feel very sorry for many… homes, heat, jobs, cars, family members, animals have been badly hurt. Only the Lord can help turn these around, protect. We have a different world in operation right now. Cold here in Omaha… MUCH colder than usual for too long and the iciness is a challenge. But not as bad as many other places. Hope you are doing well…

Gosh, this winter has been craaaazy! I do hope all goes as well as it can. Bundle up and be safe!
We don’t get snow where we live, but years ago we experienced a snowed in at my folks cabin in the mountains. The electricity went out and fortunately we had a wood heater with a flat top so we could cook beans and fry corn bread. Your photos are beautiful, and the birds are wanting some seeds or worms. A strange weather year for you. We had to drive on icy roads this morning. I grew up in Southern California and didn’t learn all the tricks to make it safe. – Margy
