It is Friday again. Time to write for five minutes our words of hope, love, and joy. We write to encourage, to love, but most importantly to point others to Him, our savior and Lord, Jesus.
I hope you enjoy my five minutes of writing today for Lisa Jo’s Five Minute Friday. You can link up here. Be sure to comment on at least one other blogger’s post at the link up too. God Bless. 🙂
Start 6:55
I come to the Garden of Gethsemane this morning weary. I don’t think I can stay awake one minute much less one hour. Failure weighs heavy on my heart. I worked so hard to write, but am I good enough?
My garden of words are fertilized, pruned, and plucked. Will they grow and flourish and touch?
I desire with all my heart to write for you, Jesus. I pray you will use me to deliver your words with precision. To reach others to share the gift of eternity. I don’t want them to miss you because I left a comma off and they are lost in the message and noise.
God touch them, please. My sisters who are also striving to reach you, to serve you. We are all here in your garden, knowing we will fall short. But you Jesus will pick up our failures, our weaknesses, and our fears and will replace them with your flowers of beauty and your grace.

Loved this! There are so many lost souls–many in my own family. It’s a helpless feeling, but we know our God is a GREAT GOD and miracles still exist. Keep writing, Mary. You never know who you might touch.
Thank you Gail for the encouragement. I really appreciate it.
Thanks for sharing at Essential Fridays.
Blessings

Hi Mary,
Gardens and growing plants, as well as growing words and ideas links us both. Your line: “I desire with all my heart to write for you, Jesus.” grabbed me most tonight. If that’s our goal, girl, then we can rest assured that he will help us do that each day, huh?
As worship to him,

Beautiful and encouraging words Mary. We all want to find approval and with God it is no different for his followers.
Some plant, some water, some reap but we are all part of Christ’s servants spreading his love. May God bless and encourage you as you answer his call to share through your words.
What an encouragement, Mary! Yes, he picks us up when we need rest! He is our REST!
