Thankful Things

Unusual Fall Snow, Birthday Celebration …

Lots to be Thankful for This Weekend

Part One

Rare snow fall in South Carolina in Autumn.

It is unusually early snow fall in Upstate South Carolina. In fact weather officials are saying it is the earliest snow on record for our area. We got about one inch.

Snow and Mums

It is only 10 a.m. Saturday morning, and this weekend has already been fantastic with a very unusual early fall snowfall. We love snow in the South. My daughter and her friends were outside at 7 a.m. playing in snow. She has a birthday party this afternoon and then we have a family wedding reception tomorrow.

More later. 🙂

Beautiful pictures! We lived in Utah before relocating to Texas and I miss the snow! They close down our entire city when the rain is cold! lol.. Be blessed and stay warm this season 🙂

Snow is a double edged sword – absolutely breathtakingly beautiful and bitter cold all at once.

what?! snow!?! (I will now leap to a totally unsupported and arbitrary conclusion in an area that I have not real knowledge, i.e. meteorology)… hey, so if it snows that early down where you are, that means that the weather here in New England will be unusually warm this winter!

    thanks for the good news!

    lol

Awe, I do love the snow 🙂 It started to snow here a little today, just as I was driving home from town. But I’m in Ontario so it makes more sense haha.

We finally had a cold front push the too hot air out of Kansas, but no snow. And I am ready for snow!

    You have snow.
    Said no Canadian ever.
We got some yesterday when we went trick or treating but it didn’t stick thank goodness. Seems like our area gets hit sooner and sooner every year. Crrrreeeeepppppyyyyy.

How often does it snow in upstate South Carolina? Is it mountainous? I’m surprised about the snowfall. It does make things look brand new though, and pretty.

Hi, we get a snowfall about once every six to 10 years. We have had a lot in the last few years. This snow this morning is a record for our area.

It rained here (southern California) during the night, but I did notice snow on the mountain tops around us!

It’s been snowing here since about midnight and its still coming down. It’s not unusual for it to snow here so early though. Beautiful pictures. Have a great weekend!
