#TenThingsThankful: God’s Creatures Great and Small

I went to see the new Noah movie last night. I am not thankful for that. It was horrible and so screwed up. Anyway, I do not recommend it, and I was so sorry I took my daughter.  I am thankful for the real Noah story however and the real Noah of Genesis.  He was such a cool guy who loved animals and loved God and his family.

After the movie, I went home and read the true Biblical version of the story and found Noah again in my mind and imagination. I don’t imagine him as described in the movie at all. He was a good man who loved his family and loved God. He was called to such a terrible thing though.  I can’t imagine the drownings. Those parts of the story must have been real. Such tragedy brought on by man’s sin and evil of those earlier times.

Now, I look at our world of hope and love. It is not perfect by any stretch of the imagination because evil does still exist, but I see Christ’s love and holiness everywhere as people seek Him more. I pray daily for countries where there is war and strife. I pray daily that we embrace Christ example of sacrifice and holiness.  Imagine a world where we all die to selfish desires and sin and embrace love, peace and holiness. Yes, I am featuring Christ as my A to Z theme for April.

I also see a world full of nature and beauty. I was out exploring the countryside the other day when I met these lovelies. I wanted to make friends, so I pulled my car over and called to them. To my surprise, they came and let me greet them by petting their snouts. I even kissed the cream colored one on the nose!

It was cloudy day, but I enjoyed taking pictures at my local strawberry patch. I can’t wait til the berries are red and ripe next month.

Finally, I got the magazine where my article was published in the mail. I am so proud of how it looks.

I did not think Hollyweird would get the story remotely close. It was good to hear someone say-so, though. Lovely pics of the horses. God’s beauty is all around us, so is His holiness. You just have to look past the corruption to see it. Congrats on your feature in Woman to Woman!

Bad movie, kissing horses, loving life and taking part in A-Z. You are living an eventful life indeed Mary. Was Noah Movie bad because it wasn’t a good movie in general or because you didn’t like the direction the director took. I’m just wondering because I had thought I was going to see it.

The story line was horrible and unbelievable.

I’d like to see the movie, but I know there is some controversy surrounding it. I’m not expecting it to be biblically accurate…just expecting to be entertained. I rarely go to the movies because it’s just too expensive. I’ll probably just wait until it comes out in the Redbox for $1.50!

It is not worth the price of admission. The story takes a horrible turn. I didn’t expect it to stick to the Biblical version, but I didn’t expect it to make Noah look like a deranged man either. It really depressed me.

I’ve heard that the movie Noah isn’t at all what one would expect; I’m sorry you were disappointed, but thanks for the heads-up. I will be skipping it. Congratulations on being published!

I have been pondering about the movie Noah. Maybe I need to skip it also. Yet you still found much to celebrate! Have a blessed weekend!

I haven’t seen the movie only the clips, which isn’t enough to comment on. The photos of the animals are nice in their natural surroundings. I’m also glad your writing is featured in a popular magazine. Good for you!
