Ten Things Thankful: Spiritual Refreshment and Early Fall Beauty

A Beautiful Early Fall Meadow

1.  First, I want to give a report on the Bigs and Littles Network that I joined this last week. Organizers contacted me and to my surprise they consider me a “big” blog which means I either a.)I have been around longer or b.) I have a great blog which has a larger readership. It must be “a” because my readership is still growing and my blog needs lots of work. I thought I was going to be a “little” and get advice on how to improve.

2. My blogging “little” counterpart is Becki McKown who is just starting out her new blog entitled: Home Style in a Cinch. She is so new that she only has one entry up. If you have time swing over and welcome her. Thanks.

3. We have a new Publix in our corner of Upstate South Carolina. Now, if they would select me as their blogger. I could take such gorgeous pictures of their deli section.  We ate Sunday dinner today on premises. The atmosphere was definitely not trendy or restaurantee, but the food was delicious. We spent $13 for all three of us. I had Bourbon chicken and noodles. My daughter (the carboterian) had fried rice and plain noodles. My husband (the wingoterian) had three sweet and sour, Oriental style huge wings.

4. We had some really nice fall weather. The temperatures are only reaching into the high 70s and low 80s. The leaves are changing colors.  I hope I can get out and take spectacular pics for Wordless Wednesday.

5. I lost 10 real pounds, not water weight, this week. I stopped my water pills because I was tired of weighing up to 20 pounds different every other day on the scale. I have lost 10 real pounds and the scale has stopped its crazy fluctuating.

6. We had great, new music at my church. If I can get it to upload off my Kindle camera; then, I will share it with you. In the meantime here is Marshall Hall, singing my favorite song from today. Our singer does a wonderful job too.

7. I am going to participate in the Nester’s 31 Days in October. It is going to be so much fun, although challenging. I signed up and am working on a special button for the challenge. What do you think? I have to use PicMonkey to make it look better. This one was designed using PowerPoint.

8. All this busy work is secondary to my spiritual life. I have found time to praise and sing in church and at home.

9. Only about 32 days until Allume. I am so looking forward to a period of spiritual refreshment and learning more about how God wants me to use my social media influence to reach others for Him.

10.  I have another day to sing, praise, love God, and love my family.
