Space and Tears

August 1, 2013 By Mary Hill 8 Comments

A Common Theme for All Women:

Moms, Daughters, Sisters, Grandmothers

The blog hops that inspire me today are Theme Thursday  and Thursday Two Questions at Self Sagacity’s blog.  The theme and questions center around space and tears.  Two things that may not seem intertwined. If you are woman though you see the invisible threads of interconnection.

We need space when we cry and grieve in our lives as women.  We have all had those lock-me-in-my-room days that floor us. The tears seem to run unchecked, and life has taken an abrupt life-altering or even life-shattering turn.

I have had those days, and I know I am not alone.  The only thing that helps me is a return to my faith and just crying out to God why or help! Sometimes the why involves our decisions, and sometimes we are like Job, innocent and just being tested.

No matter the cause, this scripture is the truth that I hold into my storms:

Romans 8:28
King James Version (KJV)
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

The songs that have touched me in my private space of pain or grief include:

God Bless  Love Mary

    Hi Mary,

Usually when I feel like crying my heart out I go lock myself in my bathroom but sometimes I am home alone and have the tears flowing all over the house. I remember during the first part of my menopause I seemed to just cry at the drop of a hat or if anyone looked at me a certain way. Also if someone said certain things and at times it did not matter where I was. All I had to do was say it was caused from menopause and everyone would just say they now understood. I guess menopause causes lots of moodiness. I was so thankful when that period in my life ended. Although the menopause seems here to stay but at least all the moodiness seems to have gone away. Oh and I loved the story about your time with your daughter going out for tea. It is so nice to go to a tea house. Wish I had some that were closer to my house.

Thank you for sharing with us about your space for this weeks Theme Thursday. I hope that you have a great weekend with everyone giving you a little bit of space if your need it.

    God bless.

Music helps me most with difficult periods in my life. Through My Father’s Eyes is such an uplifting song. Thanks for uploading it!

Hi Mary, thank you for the mention in your post. I seldom have these kinds of days because I am the type that likes to block it out and sometimes I do crave a good cry but can’t. As the Dr says, it’s a stress relieving act, it’s great for purifying.

John Mayer’s Daughters is another one. I’ve had my own crying sessions as well and I’m glad you shared something so personal with us Mary.

It’s been a long time since I’ve had these kind of days, but I’ve had them. I go to my room too.

    Have a terrific day. ☺
