I am forcing myself to post today to the sound of the dryer tumbling. It’s been literally one of those first of the New Years. The holiday season has ended and a new year begun, and my gears are turning slowly.
Inspiration is hard to find; so I decided to just start typing: thus my first line. Funny how things come in the mail. I have been getting The New Yorker magazine, and I don’t remember subscribing. I have not received a bill or anything. I guess I won it.
How many contest do you enter daily? Do you have a way of keeping track? I enter so many. I open up a word processor file everyday and just title it, “Contests Entered,” and type the the date underneath. Only problem, I sometimes forget to add contests to my ongoing file.
My New Year’s Resolutions were simple.
1. I aim to draw closer to God through daily prayer and scripture reading. I signed up for the GoodReads Christian Blogger group and am participating in the Chronological Scripture Reading Plan featured at : https://www.bible.com. I am already behind of course. I have prayed daily, however.
2. I am going to write daily no matter what. I have met that so far. I just don’t post everything I write. I have a bunch of drafts so far. I hope this one makes it. I have a feeling it will.
3. I signed up for a weight loss challenge at my area wellness center. I am on Team Red. I have five team members; so far, my daughter, Megan, and I are the on the team. I have a lot of weight to loose. It ends on April 3. My goal: 36 pound in 12 weeks or three pounds a week.
Those are my resolutions. I am keeping this post simple and quick. What are your resolutions?

love the little cartoon. Your resolution to lose 3 pounds a week, wow. Wishing you great success in fulfilling your resolutions my friend. I too am working on a weight loss program. I hate my menopause middle. Sadly my medications and other health factors do make it difficult for me to lose weight. But I miss my 29 inch waist….now that it is 35 inches ( TMI) Thank you so much for helping to make the Thursday Favorite Things blog hop so much fun Hugs!
I started Weight Watchers last week with the goal of 3 pounds a week – looks like we have the same goal. =) Thank you for linking up at the Blog Strut Blog Hop! I can’t wait to see what you link up next week! I would love for you to hop over anytime to Apeekintomyparadise.com and link up with the parties I co-host throughout the week!
Have a terrific weekend!
