Disability can really block a blogger from making great strides and creating influence. I know this firsthand, especially, when I struggle to post at least once a week. My goal as a blogger is to bring hope that one can succeed no matter the obstacles she faces.
Disability is a major obstacle to overcome, but Jesus is greater than any disability. Here are some tips though to help those who face disability to press forward even when it seems impossible.
- You need to redefine your definition of success. If you are disabled, you may need to accept that you may not be able to post more than two or three times a week.
- Make each post that you do post count. Keep them exciting, hopeful and encouraging.
- Remember blogging doesn’t mean you have to write a novel post. Keep your posts short, sweet, and hopeful.
- Remember you can jazz up any post with quality photos or media.
- On your good days, write as many blog posts as you can. Remember you can schedule posts for future days. Sometimes, I write two or three posts in one sitting and just schedule them for later in the week.
- Promote your posts throughout the week on a variety of blog hops and social media groups to ensure readership. I am a member of a +supportgroups, plus I have joined numerous Facebook, Google, and LinkedIn groups. I share blog posts as well as get ideas and support.
If you have a disability, how do you press forward with your blog? Share some of your tips in the comments. Thanks.

Thanks for the encouragement. Something I’ve been thinking about. Will be bookmarking this page to refer to again. Hope you have great support to draw encouragement from.
Great tips. Thanks for sharing and I’ll be referring to them whenever that blogger’s remorse settles in.
I’m happy to be your neighbor at Holley’s. Your tips are good for anyone!
