31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes Day 29: Practice Truth of Christ

October 29, 2019 By Mary Hill 2 Comments

John 3:21

“But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.”

We hear the cliche, “Practice makes perfect.”  In all history, however, only Jesus lived the perfect life. He walked in the power of the Holy Ghost.

When we practice in our strength, then we will fail, but if we use His power to practice truth, we will prevail.

We must seek out the truth of Christ and practice it according to John, so,  to what truth should we cling?

We should adhere to the truth of the cross: Christ crucified for our sins and then raised again so that we will know His glory and grace.

Everything starts with the cross if you are a Christian. We confess our sins in the shadow His cross. We pick up our cross and follow Him daily. We practice self-sacrifice and die to our iniquities. He resides in us, and we walk in Him.

He is the truth, the light, and the way.

Everything starts with the cross if you are a Christian. We confess our sins in the shadow His cross. We pick up our cross and follow Him daily.

I pray that God will empower me to practice my faith in all things, seeking His kingdom and will first in my life.

    Yes!
I really like to think about “practice makes progress.”
And there’s so much grace just waiting for us.

We were thinking along similar lines. Only Jesus is perfect!
