Poise Wants You To #RecycleYourPeriodPad!

I just wrote this week about getting real. It seems to be my theme for the week. I was recently contacted by officials at Linqia about writing for a campaign about new Poise® products entitled: Use Poise and #RecycleYourPeriodPad. My answer was a yes because this campaign seemed a natural for me. I have the same problem that one in three women have: Light Bladder Leakage.

Well, I suffer from it because of my arthritis and  medications that I have to take. One of my medicines is Lasix which makes you shed excess water through peeing. With my arthritis, I can’t move that quick and well stuff happens. I also have the same problem if I laugh a little hard or exercise. The causes for other women can include:

• Physical changes from childbirth, pregnancy, hysterectomy, menopause
• Complications from surgery, stroke, or chronic diseases like diabetes, multiple sclerosis (MS) or Parkinson’s disease
• Bladder or urinary tract infections
• Bladder irritants (certain foods and beverages)

HOW DO I BEST MANAGE MY LBL?

The company asked us bloggers to come up with fun, creative ideas for recycling those period pads. So here are my ideas. I hope they make you laugh. LOL 🙂

 

I have problem with cat hair. My cat sheds a lot, and I usually end up sweeping it around and can’t get to it easily under beds or my couch. The period pads stick good to my Swifter-type mop; so I thought I would give them a try to see how they work. I first attached two at a time, but I found just attaching one works just as well.
