The first Monday in February begins in less than 39 minutes, and I am sitting in my living room late at night with the news playing softly in the background. The announcer just spoke about the ground hog. I didn’t catch if he saw his shadow or not?
Doesn’t really matter though. My thoughts are elsewhere so I cut off the television. I am so involved into many online ventures right now. I want to draw closer to God through them. My church is doing great stuff too. My step son is the pastor. We went late tonight, but caught the tail end of the service that involved a Super Bowl Bible Trivia Challenge. It was a lot of fun, and I clapped happily when one of our elderly women won the contest. On her team were many of her grands and great grand children.
All this studying and emphasis on learning about the Bible reminds me of one scripture for the week 2 Timothy 2:15:
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
What iniatives to grow closer to God are you starting as we began the second month of the New Year? Dive in and share. The waters are wonderful out here. You will enter a greater dimension of love and fellowship with not only other Christians but also Jesus.

I am always trying to deepen my relationship with God. Please pray for my dog, Tripp who had a Mast Cell tumor removed a week ago.
I will pray for Tripp. I know how it feels when one our furry loved ones are sick.

what a great idea for a church event – a Super Bowl Bible Trivia game. That sounds like too much fun!
