New Book Added to the Stack

My stack seems to stay large. I am still reading many books from last week’s post. I added just one book to my stack, but it is a great one.

I received this book from Beacon Hill Press in exchange for an honest review. I am excited about it. I reviewed the table of contents and am looking forward to trying some of the activities with my daughter.  

I am especially looking forward to exercise 3: “If I had only Listened the First Time” because it deals with prayer.  Last week on Mary-andering Creatively, I announced that my word for the year is “connections.”  

There are 52 weekly chapters in the book. Each week includes a theme with related scripture reading, prayer, and special activity. 

What I like best about this book is that reading and completing the activities is year-long process that involves the whole family. The activities are designed for families with pre-teens but they can be adapted for families with children of all ages. As my family and I complete activities, I will be posting pictures and more information about the book. I really encourage you to get a copy. I am looking forward to a year of growing closer to God with my entire family.
