Blogtember: Tuesday, September 17: A memory
you would love to relive.
I would relive my wedding day over and over again. It was a day of change and the start of a new season in my life. We got married on evening of Friday, April 19, 2002 at my home church in upstate South Carolina. Friends had set the stage by decorating the church. My bouquet was ready. Volunteers had made food for our reception and we had a beautiful cake.
I remember walking the aisle with my brother who gave me away, standing in for my dad who had died in 1999. My brother told me not to worry about a thing because I was anxiously awaiting guests and getting ready for our big day. For some reason, he added that the day was his third happiest of his life. I wanted to ask about the other two happy days but did not get a chance. I assume they involved meeting his wife Crystal and her daughter.
I have plenty of pictures of that special day including these:
Our theme song which happens to be my husband’s favorite all time song:
Also participating in this new hop that I just discovered:

Beautiful wedding photos!! Thank you so much for sharing & linking up at Thank You Honey’s Whatever Wednesday Party!! Hope to see you this week!!

Wow!! You are an old married lady now, eleven years!!! Thank you for sharing in word and lovely pictures.
This makes me remember our wedding, now after forty years we tend to take it for granted. Finally, our youngest granddaughter was flower girl (age three then) for our oldest granddaughter’s wedding last summer.
..
How beautiful that you should share your wedding pics with us. My wife and I married back in 1957, that day was so special for us too it all whirled by as if in a dream as we only had eyes for the other.
Thanks for the kind comment. 🙂

Oh Mary! These photos were so beautiful… a love story that took my breath away! Isn’t it amazing how our lives can change, and what wonderful things God can do?!! You were a lovely bride, and that cake is gorgeous! I love the theme song too. It says everything about your marriage that you would want to relive this day again. We will be celebrating just our fifth anniversary next week, the beginning of the life that I now treasure. Wishing the two of you many more years of making good memories! Thank yu for a truly lovely addition to this week’s Two Shoes Tuesday, it left me smiling!
Thank you. Faith, love, and inspiration is all that is needed to make the world a better place. I wish I could wave a magic wand and spread them to everyone.
