My Favorite Picture of Myself

Day 17, Friday: A favorite photo of yourself and why

My husband took this picture of me on a special trip we took for our anniversary in April years ago. We were in downtown Henderson, NC.  I really enjoyed this trip. We had so much fun. I also really love the picture because I feel that it is very flattering, and I love the flowers behind me.  It was such a beautiful day.

Today is also Finish My Sentence Friday hosted by Janine’s Confessions of a Momholic.
Finish the Sentence FridayToday’s sentence is:  When I was younger, I wanted to…

I wanted to become a police officer. I was a member of the Margate, Fla. Police Explorer’s program in 10th grade. I enjoyed my time there, but I would have made a terrible police officer. I couldn’t even direct traffic.  πŸ™‚

Below are other Friday blog hops that I am joining today. They have some great bloggers today. I hope you will follow them too.  I follow blog hops because it helps me build my blog’s readership.  I also get a chance to get ideas from other bloggers on how to improve my own blog.  A lot of the blogs on each hop also have prize giveaway contests which are fun to enter!

Margate, FL. I looked that up recently after an internet story on early rare beach photos. Some where from Margate and I never heard of it. I grew up in Central Florida. That is a great picture. I love the tulips and that color is lovely on you.

Hi Mary nice to meet you. Funny I knew that picture was NC before I read it. I’ve never been to Henderson but the background just had an NC feel to it. Nice photo. I can’t imagine directing traffic. I tried to direct my husband backing into our driveway with a trailer attached. He told me never mind.

Too bad hubs isn’t in the picture with you since it was an anniversary trip. πŸ™

That’s cool about the Police Explorer’s Program. I’ve never heard of that before. This is my first time popping in via the #FTSF. I’ll try to stop back and wander around later after checking out the other posts for today.

I have him in a pic with me too on the same trip in the same setting. I don’t know if I posted it on another entry or not? He is great. I loved the Police Explorer’s Program. Got to ride in squad car on patrol and sat in the dispatch office with dispatchers while they worked and took calls. Fun stuff. I even worked in a mock drill of a disaster. Seem like forever. It was in the early 1980s.

I love your photo! Police officers are totally underpaid…I don’t think I would have been good at that job. Thanks for linking up with #FSTF this week! I hope you come back next week!

Great photo and I would have made an AWFUL police officer as well. Directing traffic is probably quite difficult!
