Welcome back to the #LMMLinkup. Today, I want to share my review of a great book for parents and grandparents: The Action Storybook Bible. As a grandparent,  my central focus for my grands is to build a love for God into their daily lives.

A beautifully, illustrated, The Action Story Book Bible tells the story of the Bible adhering to the Gospel truths found inside. The chapters included in the book cover Old Testament history as well as the time of the Gospels to Jesus’s Crucifixion.  Uncovering the Biblical story with great accuracy, the authors took care to include life lessons at the end of each chapter, entitled: “Life, Faith, Action!”

For example at the end of the recounting of true story of Noah and the Flood, the Life Faith Action! section focuses on the fact that God hate sin which is the primary reason He sent the flood.

Then the Faith in Action section encourages parent and grandparents to talk about rainbows together.  Questions posed included:

• When was the last time you saw one?
• When do they appear?
• Why are they a sign of hope?
• As a family, draw a rainbow and put it on your refrigerator as a
  reminder of God’s promise.

I especially enjoyed the section based on the Books of Acts. The ending of the chapter really inspires children to share their faith.

This book is a great beginning to introduce children to the truths of the Bible, but as always, I encourage you to use it a tool along side your Bible to read with your children or grandchildren. With Christmas coming, this book would make a wonderful present for the children in your life.
