Today’s suggested prompt on Blogher is about risk taking. “Do you believe the saying that with great risks come great rewards?” I do believe this statement. You only have to look at history to see how true this saying is.
What if Einstein did not take risks and think outside the box? We would not have had the “theory of relativity.” Einstein’s scientific theories layed the foundation for space travel, nuclear energy, and laser technology.
What about Thomas Edison who famously said, “Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up?”Edison patented more than 1,000 inventions in his life time including the incandescent light bulb, the motion picture camera, the phonograph (or record player) and invented a new source of rubber from the goldenrod plant for automobile tires.

The next time you get into your car think about the number of fatalities and traffic accidents that would occur every year without this important invention.
