Hi, I decided to answer the Five Among Friends questions for Thursday. These are featured at Crafty Spices. Sounds like a fun group to link up with. I am so thankful for the opportunities blogging gives me to meet new friends and to fellowship virtually.

1. If you get a day off or a day to just stay at home {and not have to go anywhere}, what’s on your list of things to do? Read books, write on my blog and work on my novel. I would let the laundy pile up and order take out pizza.
2. Are you a dog or cat person, or neither? Do you have a pet? I am a pet person. If you have visited my blog from time to time, you will see pictures of a cat, four dogs, 17 parakeets, eight bunny lops (six are babies), and one very lucky fish. The fish has survived Perry and an almost evaporated bowl of water.
4. Cabin in the mountains or house on the beach? I am a so “cabin-in-the-mountains” kind of girl. I love nature.
5. What is the best piece of life advice that you can give? Remember to pray daily and count your blessings. When you take the time to sit down and think about all your blessings in life, you focus is on good things, and you will find contentment.

17 parakeets, you must have a tremendous sense of humour. 🙂 They are so smart and no doubt provide hours of entertainment. I have two lovebirds and they provide my whole family with humour based on their antics.
Mary- I see that you love pets. I just wrote a blog this week about doing agility with my dog Roxie. Please stop and leave a comment. It is a fun blog.
I think it is so important to have hobbies outside of work. I love to read but also knit, and do needlepoint. With everything I have on my plate, I am never bored.
Wow you have 17 parakeets! My sister and I had two growing up and I just remember them making a lot of noise lol. Do you keep them in their own room?
We have a special house for our rabbits and parakeets outside. We are going to have to thin the parakeet population and give some away soon. Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Mary! I love these types of bloghops, because I get to learn so much about you! I would take the beach house, because I am a water girl, but we can visit each other right? The mountains are beautiful too. All that clean air!

1. I’d do the same thing.
2. No pets but I want a cat.
3. Colect books and love writing stories and poetry.
4. Mountains because I can’t stand the beach. But I’d choose a nice non-mountainous cabin by a lake if I could.
5. Ditto and never give up your dreams. Unless it’s world domination…I mean *scoffs* please.
