I am reading by the foot it seems these days. Not only am I trying to catch up my book reading; but, I am also reading hundreds of blogs a week.
Now, I venture into the realms of the true, the untrue, and the somewhere in betweens: the part of the blogosphere that houses book review blogs. I love reading book reviews, and I wrote them professional for online magazines about 10 years ago. Since then the field seems to have exploded with wonderful sites of book reviews to explore.
I return to book reviews after visiting so many sites housing these gems. I love the sense of community and the fun activities I am seeing. Mary-andering Among the Pages is a sister site to my Mary-andering Creatively. I am hoping my readers will join me here as well. I With time, I know this blog will grow and flourish. In the meantime, I embark on my reading journey and hope that you will enjoy.

In another book blog hop in which I participated in July, there was a challenge to create a poem by stacking the books so that the spines could be read. Here is my spine poem based on what I am reading today:

Fracture
I plan to read all of these books, but currently my reading focus is Chasing Yesterday by Robin Wasserman. My daughter and I have read the book together. We are writing a book review for the Mother, Daughter, & Son Book Reviews blog. It has been a fun process. When it goes up on the site, I will post a link.

I’m reading and enjoying “The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society” via a Kindle application. (I don’t really own a Kindle, but these days Amazon is happy to have you purchase and download ebooks from them for any and all “devices”. I’ve been reading sometimes on my smart phone (!) and sometimes on a Nexus 7 tablet. (But, I digress). Like you, as a blogger myself, I do an a lot of reading of blogs. I think the blogosphere has democratized publishing, but it has also made it more difficult to find the wheat in the chaff.
