I have decided to mix things up this week and rejoin another fun hop featured at Everyday Ruraltry.
QUESTIONS
- Have you tried any DIY cleaning products or skin care products from the many recipes on the internet? No not yet. I have been reading them, however and am interested in learning more. Usiing them look like an exciting option to bring down household costs.
- Do you like to enter sweepstakes, giveaways, or prize drawings? Yes, I enter many contests and giveaways on my growing number of blogger friends’ blogs. I also participate as a host for giveaways. I use all giveaways that I participate in as an opporunity to grow my blog readership. If you have a giveaway coming up, let me know. 🙂
- How often do you visit your local library? Do you have a local library? I love visiting the library often with my granddaughter and daughter. I especially love going to reading programs.
- Do you have a simple mobile phone or one that does lots of things? I have a dumb Smartphone. It fills up its internal memory to quickly, and I am always having to erase things. It is a pain. I have lost all of my contacts the last time I had to erase things to free up memory so I could get calls! :p
- Tell me something new or interesting. Please:)
That is easy! I am on a snow watch today. I live in the South; so, I feel like a child at Christmas time waiting for presents. I am going in and outside waiting for our first snowflakes of the year! We have not had snow around here for three years. I just went out and took this picture. It quite a contrast from the blue sky pictures of last week. The clouds are full and the temperature is plummeting.
I know our Northern and North Western neighbors are probably laughing at our state today. Our Governor Nikki Haley just declared a state of emergency because the state is predicted to have a snow storm of three to six inches in the Piedmont to the Midlands and an ice storm on the coast.
The grocery stores shelves and refrigerators where we get bread and milk are empy! We need to have our milk and bread when it snows. That seems to be all that matters. If we don’t, we could make the national news because of Donner parties, especially if the snow is not out of here by 1 p.m. tomorrow. If you don’t know about the Donner Party, link to the story here.
I will post again today for Two Shoes Tuesday and also for Wordless Wednesday. Now, I have to go outside and take pictures. We have tiny snowflakes coming down now! Yippee!!! Snow!

I’m on the Northshore of Louisiana, and we didn’t get snow. The last time I saw snow was three years ago when we lived in West TN. My 15 year old really misses it, so do I, thanks for sharing on Tuesdays With a Twist.
I guess those of us who get snow more often, take it for granted. I’m glad you’re enjoying it. I like snow, but the temps have been ridiculous. The wind is the worst part. Eleven degrees with 20-30 mph winds is a bit much. Stay safe:)
I would love to see a bit of snow. We have had nothing but rain since before Christmas, and some parts of the UK are still flooded.Please stay warm
