A very tradition pattern, each line in an iambic pentameter has ten syllables. It is accented on every second beat like this:
daDum daDum DaDum
This poetic pattern was made popular by Shakespeare. A great resource on iambic pentameters can be found at : http://mora.mn.schoolwebpages.com/education/components/whatsnew/default.php?sectiondetailid=2677

Very educational. I’ve written poetry without thinking about stressed syllables.
I’m terrible with poetry, but your is great!
Thanks. I know i don’t have the stresses right. But I am not going to stress. LOL
wow too hard for me—you did great!
