I am Thankful for God’s Provisions

Ten Things of Thankful
http://summat2thinkon.blogspot.com/

    National Dixie

  1. I am thankful that my daughter will go to the All-Stars Softball tournament tomorrow. She has practiced almost every night for the past three weeks to prepare for tomorrow. Win or lose, she is already a champ in my eyes because she has perservered through tough practices and scrimmages.
  2. I am thankful that I got to spend every evening this week with my grandson, Jamie.  His mom had to work all week; and my other daughter was out of town at the beach with her mom. I missed Megan, but the time with Jamie was priceless. He is only 2 and he knows letters.  He can point out a J, M, A, E, and W.  We were at a restuarant today, and he went over to the “welcome” mat and pointed at the w and said “dooble boo.”  He is so cute and handsome too.
  3. I am thankful we still have Jamie.  He is a miracle boy.  I want go into specific details, but God has delivered for us. (That will be another post if his mother agrees to it.)
  4. I am thankful for my little puppy Lily. Jamie picked up on her name this week, and everytime he saw her he would say, “Hey, Lily.”
  5. I am thankful for my strong and loving relationship with my husband. You know you have a good husband when you are down because of knee problems, and he picks up and cleans for you almost every night after having worked nine hours during the day. He wakes up between 5:45 to 6:15 to go to work most days.
  6. I am thankful that I won a makeover for my blog. I will find out more next week and hopefullly in a few weeks, I will have a big unveiling. Maybe I need to host a give away contest for an Amazon card or other prizes?  I still have a lot to learn about blogging and hosting contests, so I may be writing some of you for advice.
  7. I am thankful for my new blogging friends who have been so nice to visit me all week and comment.  Sheena-Kay Graham even helped me find my niche when she wrote that my blog was a family blog with a mixture of creative writing and real life postings. I like that and will use it when promoting my blog.
  8. I am thankful for Sheena’s blog, Queendsheena.  If you have not visited it, you really should.
  9. I am thankful that repairing the front suspension on my van was only $159 and not the $600 I had feared. A salesperson at our Dodge dealership said it would cost $1400 to fix.
  10. Finally, as this week comes to a close, I am thankful that God has seen me through and overall given me a great week of lovely weather and great family times.  Tomorrow’s forecast at the game time is expected to be only in the high 70s.  Plus, we will have low humidity.

God is good and he provides what we need when we need it. 🙂

Temps in the 70s for a softball tournament? That is definitely something to be thankful about! Don’t forget your sunscreen! Good luck to your daughter and her team.

Your husband sounds wonderful – a loving and supporting partner is so key to getting through injuries and illness (and even just everyday life). I hope your knee heals quickly! Ah to low humidity (not so much here) and your puppy! I recently lost my dog and I miss him every day…
    Great list!

4 and 9 what an excellent name ‘Lily’ ( it seems to be the kind of name that lends itself to very fun variation… our first dog was named Ola but we called her O and o la la as often as we did her proper name… lol) cars!! one of the most common, routine and unavoidable sources of stress (repairs) and at times, as it sounds in your list), a source of happiness at un-expected good news (being less than it ‘should’ have been)

    good list

Found you from the blog hop. My list also included car repairs and a grandchild. Love the rest of your list, too!

I love your thankful for list! I’m going to remember to do this next time I am feeling down in the dumps. I am a pediatric nurse and when you stop and think about it, most of us have A LOT to be thankful for.

    Amen to #10.

I love your ‘Thankfuls’ that show your wonderful relationship with your Grandson. He sounds like a super little chap and a blessing to know.

And tell your husband from ‘us online’ that he’s awesome – I daresay you know by now that he’s a keeper 😉
