“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire.” ~Isaiah 55:10-12

Southern snow is like a ghost
Beautifully, white and fleeting.
It is there in the morning and gone by night fall.
It blesses us in the South when it comes.
If we lived in the North, we would be unable to
Celebrate its rarity.
This Thanksgiving Storm crippling travel has me reminiscing.

We got up at midnight to play in the snow. We had not had a snowfall in five years! This snow was gone by morning. 😉February 12, 2010

| A younger Cocoa enjoys the snow. 🙂 |
We had to wait three more years for another snowfall. This one was more signifant, at least 4 inches! It was gone in a day too. We had a lot of fun while the snow was on the ground.
Katie Rose left a beautiful snow angel.
Building a snow man before the snow melts.
Our snow family took most of our snow in the yard to create. It actually survived for almost four days after all the other snow had melted.

The biggest snowfall to date of the past two decades! School shut down for a week. I know my Northern blogging friends are shaking their heads, but for real, we had a whole six inches. Our area was shut down for almost five days until the snow melted. We have not had a significant snowfall since. Maybe this will be our year for some more nice snow?
I leave you with my favorite winter song:

Love your snowmen!! Great pictures! Great to meet you & new follower! Thanks for sharing at Whatever Wednesday on Thank You Honey!
