Fulfilling Dreams Through Drive and Determination

April 5, 2016 By Mary Hill 4 Comments

D is for Dreams

Fulfilling Dreams Begin With Small Steps
We all have dreams in life, but do we have the drive to make them come true?  What are steps we can take to fulfil our big dreams in life?

We have to have DRIVE:

Dream big,

Reach for the stars

Inspire others through

Vision and vitality.

Excel through self-empowerment.

Determining Your Dreams

How do you determine your dreams for your life? I believe it starts with prayer and seeking God’s guidance.  Then knowing who you are and your talents which you will use to fulfil them.

One should focus on interpreting which dreams come through God. What are the ones that He wants you to pursue? Let prayer and meditation guide you in this effort.  Also read scriptures to ensure your dreams align with the Word. Write down your master plan for the year.

What life areas do you feel compelled to focus upon? Being a better parent; developing a career to help your family financially; writing a novel or book; building a ministry in your local church? Women are influencers, change agents, and have much power in their spheres. You can make a major difference!

We all dream of better lives for ourselves and our families. These dreams float in our minds and take hold of our hearts.

Faith and action provide the key to fulfilling your dreams.

Focus on building a master plan. Outline your dreams into goals and then action steps.

You dream of writing a novel or nonfiction book; then, take time to sit down and plan your days around it. Today, I will outline my thoughts and goals for my book. Then, I move on to research. Next, I plan to write a chapter outline.

Or you may want to start a business?  Start with writing down your ideas for your business and then move to planning and scheduling goals toward fulfilling this dream.

[tweetthis]Remember small steps lead to miles. Day by day, you can accomplish much if you focus on your dreams[/tweetthis]and determine your direction.

Remember these key verses as you start dreaming about your future:

Job 34:21 For His eyes [watch] over a man’s ways, and He observes all his steps.
Psalm 25:4 Make your steps clear to me, O Lord; give me knowledge of your ways.
Psalm 25:5 Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; I wait for You all day long.
Psalm 139:10 Your hand will guide me there, too, while your right hand keeps a firm grip on me.
Psalm 16:5  Lord, You are my portion and my cup [of blessing]; You hold my future.

Discernment is essential. There are very good discernment outlines to aid in the process included in Teresa Blythe’s book 50 Ways to Pray.

And a scripture I rely upon?
Isaiah 30:21 – Your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.

Mary, your words blessed me today. So much THIS: “We all have dreams in life, but do we have the drive to make them come true? “
