FTSF: What would You Do with $1 Million?

January 10, 2014 By Mary Hill 2 Comments

Janine's Confessions of A Mommyaholic

If I had a Million Dollars I

What a hard question! First, I have to tithe to my church: $100,000. That would get us a new building. Next, I would buy a house and maybe land, but money goes so fast these days. I would have so little left unless I found a nice place for under $200,000.

Then what would I do with the remainder of the funds. I would put it in a CD that matures ever year so that I could benefit from the interest income. I would still need my disability income so that I could pay our monthly utility bills and health insurance.

Have you shopped for health insurance lately with the Obamacare? Well, nevermind. I want to stay in dreamland for a while and not crash and burn. Suffice to say the cost is ridiculous.

I hope all is going well with you this first weekend of the New Year.

What would you do with a million dollars? It is nice to dream about it, isn’t it?  God Bless your Friday. 😉

I know I need to do that soon, but I’ve been putting off looking into the whole health insurance thing. This is the first job I’ve had where I wasn’t fully covered – still waiting/hoping for it to go from part to full-time. Like with any technology, I try to hold back and wait for them to iron out all the kinks. Of course that still won’t help with the cost, but at least signing up should go more smoothly.
