Five Minute Friday: Mighty

March 28, 2014 By Mary Hill 1 Comment

WRITE. Every day in March write a slice of life story on your own blog. SHARE. Link your post in the comments on each daily call for slice of life stories here at TWT. GIVE. Comment on at least three other slice of life stories/blogs.

By Mary Hill

It is time to join my Friday community again and write with hundreds of other women on one word provided by our friend, LisaJo Baker. After we write, we go back to her site and share our five minutes of pure typing without stopping or backtracking.  We share our hearts, our souls, sometimes our tears and fears. Then we encourage each other by visiting each other’s posts and leaving comments of hope and love.

Once you get involved and join the group, you keep coming back because love is something that fills you to the core and keeps you living, mothering, and caring. Hope you will join us to write this week about mighty. Also, you will want to check out LisaJo Baker’s latest book while you are there.  She loves writers and mothers. 🙂

Now my five minutes on Mighty:

10:30

Sometimes my weight and my health issues seem mightier than me. They are like conquering thugs and killing me. I can’t overcome and defeat them. I have a mighty Savior. Will he defend me? I give it to Him to work in me His perfect picture of my health.

I lay on my bed earlier this week and I told my husband, “I may not be truly healed until I see heaven.” But where does that give God glory? If those here can’t see His miracles at work in me in this world?

Faith is the evidence of things not seen. I see myself in Heaven healthy, whole and mighty. I just pray God will allow that to be my reality here.
I wait for the doctor who is in the hall. I spend to much time here. I need to let God doctor on me and stay out of doctor’s office. He is the mighty healer who can bring me what I need. He is my everything.

 10:35

I later visited the hospital where the nurse drew blood. I learned of doctor bills and wondered why? God is mighty to deliver me. Will you let God in today to deliver you with His Mighty Love?
