End of Summer Ramblings for an Almost Wordless Wednesday

September 11, 2013 By Mary Hill 6 Comments

By Mary Hill

We recently went on a Sunday ramble in our community. We love to visit all kinds of places from local ponds and even our local pet stores.  I reflected on the end of summer as I caught the scenes with my camera.

Summer time quietly slips away into fall’s blazing colors and hues.

Hay bales begin to dot the land as farmers put up the last of the summer harvest to be turned into scarecrows and hay stacks for wheel barrow decorations.

We live in the South so the geese and duck settle in for the season.
A kitten awaits a home at the local pet store.  We entertain him with toys borrowed from the toy aisle. He chases the brilliant feathers up and down his cage as he plays.

We head home to get ready for our new work
and school week as the sun sets.

                 Psalm 65:8 (New American Standard)

They who dwell in the ends of the earth stand in awe of Your

signs. You make the dawn and the sunset shout for joy.

Love those reflections in the first pond picture – almost like a painting.

This is a good time for the end of summer reflections. I usually do not think about it much until I’m out running around town. The mornings temps are beginning to take on that fall-like quality. It’ll be a more noticeable change next month. A change I’m looking forward to.

I enjoyed your almost WW post. Thanks for visiting & joining my linky party! BTW, did you enter my Diamond Candles candle giveaway?

    We will never forget

I love these kinds of days. They are most entertaining and if we just look around there is so many wonderful things to see.

Have a fabulous hump day. ☺
