Psalm 119:81I long for Your salvation; I put my hope in Your word.

To Long for Jesus
An Original Poem
by Mary Hill
Like a tree that faces the fall
Leaves changing colors, but then shedding into a season of dormancy
I hate the seasons of winter that follow a fall.
Seasons of loneliness and isolation
Seasons of bleakness and shame
When we regret our past condemation
swelling up in hurtful flames
Searing our minds with pain.
How I long for His touch of love
To come down, bring healing
to my soul that is reeling
His touch brings joy and beauty back
Into the falls of my life
With His forgiveness
I am a blazing tree about to
find rest in the mild winter
White with the snow and frost
Of cleanliness.
Peace
This is my post for day 17 in both both the 31 Days online writing challenge started by home blogger, Myquillyn Smith (The Nester) and Kate Motaung’s Five Minute Friday and her 31-Day Five Minute Writing Challenge.
I am actually still two days behind, but I am going to move on with the challenge.

Hello from FMF!
What a beautiful poem, and a beautiful reminder to fall on Jesus!
I love to write poems myself. Yours is wonderful. “I am a blazing tree about to find rest in the mild winter
White with the snow and frost Of cleanliness”. That is my favorite part. Winters can be hard, but there is always beauty and joy to be found if we only look toward Him.
