Today was a creatively meandering kind of day. I worked on setting goals for my blog and writing. Here is a list of some of things I accomplished with my writing goals:
- Wrote five pages on my novel about “meat prohibition.” That is all I am going to say for now.
- Worked (in my head) on poetry. Have to type it up tonight.
- Spent time on the draft of my next Mary-andering Thoughts and Issues blog.
- I also plan to sign on to a Blog Hop this week. Will announce which one tomorrow.
I guess I am like most people. I have too much going on. How do you get what you want to do accomplished? I have to cope with illness and pain daily, but I use this too to put emotion into my writing.
Goals, goals, and more goals. Time flows and we lose our space and orientation. Dizzy speeds and no stops to rest. Who are we as writers, as mothers or fathers, as human beings? What are some of your creative meanderings about goals tonight? Share your thoughts and feelings. With goals we find direction and meaning. Vision and mission should always align with our hopes and dreams. How do you work on setting goals?
In Covey’s 7 Habits of Effective People, the author states to start with the end in mind. How do we want our epitaph to sound? What do we want accomplish. What steps do we take to reach our desired outcomes. Life planning is all about direction and perseverance toward our dreams and hopes.
We become more effective when we know our direction and aims in life.
How do you plan for your future? Planning is central to success.
