Still and silent, the water acts as a mirror to reflect the beauty all around. Deep hues bounce back in a mirrored picture of beauty. I stop and enjoy the scene and thank God for a simple lesson.
Nature reflects His Glory by simply taking light and refracting visions of beauty. I want to be a mirror like that where people see God in me. Where they find inspiration in the simple and beautiful. Do I reflect Him in all that I do just like the still waters of the lake reflect the beauty of a fall afternoon by staying still and allowing the spirit to move over them. Spirit move over my soul, reflect from me: hope, love and God’s glory.

This month’s Theme: A Season to Celebrate
Christmas means beautiful trees. Our celebration question: White or bright lights – elegant or snazzy – what’s your favorite way to decorate your Christmas tree?
I like both, but I favor the bright colorful lights on my tree. We bought a simple tree with white lights, but I want to add a few strands of color.
We will celebrate the beginnings of the season this weekend with a tree decorating party. I can’t wait to pour the eggnog and turn up the Christmas music. My almost 4-year-old granddaughter is coming over to help.
Last year, she helped too. She put all the ornaments in the center of the tree and left the sides, tops and bottoms bare. I didn’t care and rearranged the ornaments after she left. I can’t wait to see how she will approach decorating the tree this year.

I was in third grade when my family moved from Patrick City, St. Andrew to Greater Portmore, St. Catherine. I still remember Patrick City fondly and your talk of childhood memories made me recall the fun places and kind neighbors we had there. Reflect makes me think about recalling the past and remembering how we were vs. now. The photos are great and I think your writing has left a lot to think about. It is sweet that you are willing to share such thoughts with your readers.

So not a heights person either and even as a young kid hated to look down if I was high up, but probably gotten worse as I got older. But still love your childhood memories and thank you for joining us and sharing today. Have a great weekend now, too! 🙂
