By Mary Hill,
This hop has been on my radar for weeks now. I have a few books to share this week.
First, I bought the National Geographic Kids Almanac 2014 for my daughter. It is full of great graphics and fun facts.A gross fact that kids will love is found on page 76, “Bizarre Insects.” The most toxic insect in North America is th Puss Mouth Caterpillar. It sprays acid from its head! Yuk.
Now for the cute and fuzzy. Some may argue that this is not a picture book for kids or todddlers, but don’t tell that to my four-year-old granddaughter who has been reading The Cat Lovers’ Companion: A Book of Cat Days and Cat Ways since she was two. (Well, at least reading the pictures.) She grabs this book everytime she comes over. She loves the pretty cat pictures. She especially likes March which features this Ragdoll cat.I hope you enjoy my first post to this hop. What great non-fiction for kids do you recommend? Hop by Kid Lit Frenzy and join the fun!
