“I once saw the biggest …..”
…challenge facing me : the biggest mountain I would ever have to climb. Life is full of large things so narrowing down the biggest thing that I have ever seen is so hard. When I was a child, I went with my family to Table Rock in South Carolina. I hiked to the top of the Table twice in my life. The view was so spectacular. When I went this Fall, I walked up the main trail for less than 15 minutes and could go no further. Now, my biggest challenge is overcoming arthritis and fibromyalgia and building a new life of success despite these illnesses.

As I approach a New Year, I want to blend and build upon family life, home life, and the blogging life. I start with a desire to explore the Bible more thoroughly. I joined the Goodreads Christian Bloggers’ group and accepted the Chronological Bible Reading Plan challenge. This week we are reading both Genesis and Job.
I have a lot of work to do on the blending. It has been a rough week health-wise and other personal challenges took up so much of my time. I grab hold of the promise of this scripture as I look forward to a new week:
2 Corinthians 4:16
Now as I think about tomorrow, I will meditate on this song to help me create a brighter and more focused end of my week. I am building a better me each day.
What is your “B” theme this week as you end the second full week of the New Year? Remember to link up with Ramona’s Friendship Friday blog hop at Create with Joy.
Other hops I plan on joining include:

I love the strength you show and the way your words are an encouragement to others, Mary.
Thanks for sharing at Essential Fridays.

Kate I know what you mean. Sometimes I can’t get past numbers. It is hard to read the bible straight through. I like the Chronological Plan though because it is like reading history and I love history.
I’ve tried reading the Bible in a year a few times and always gave up by Leviticus. I know, right? That’s when I just decided to read what I could and do Bible studies and hope that eventually I’d cover it all. That was bout 10 years ago and I’ve done at least 20 Bible studies and still haven’t hit everything in the OT. Some day.
There are always mountains to climb, Mary. I’m so glad you have scriptures to hold on to through this journey. I didn’t know Goodreads had a Christian Blogging Group. All of the technology possibilities are overwhelming. What a great group to join!
You are right, I definitely have climbed large metaphorical mountains here myself in my lifetime and overcome quite a lot, but as we get older is does get harder. Thanks for sharing Mary and Happy Friday!! 🙂
