An Almost Wordless Wednesday: Exploring Community Resources and Bunny Fun at Home

August 28, 2013 By Mary Hill 8 Comments

My family went to a special parent resource program at our area mall this weekend.  Representatives from area agencies, businesses, and churches set up informational booths featuring parenting tips on issues ranging from success in school to infant and toddler development.  Outside the mall, organizers placed inflatable slides and jump houses for the children to play.

Officers from the local sheriff’s, highway, and fire departments were also on hand to do demonstrations.  It was great that they took their off duty time to take part in a community event and help educate our kids about various safety issues. Their participation just goes to show the level of dedication of some of our public safety officers.
After the fun time at the mall, we returned home and played with our bunnies again.

The Bunny End to a great day!

Also, here is a song for Tune Tuesday honoring our firefighters and public safety officials like the ones we met this weekend.

Community spirit and dedication is a valued part of life. Most school summer holidays we have a similar Open Day (I’m usually painting faces on kids and adults alike!). I can see from your top video how enjoyable the day was. I love the doggy kisses at 0.18 !

How nice! I use to have bunnies and then they started multiplying lol. We eventually had to get rid of them because we lived in an apartment and they didn’t allow pets but I loved them. They are so cute.

Sounds like a fun, eventful day for the whole family. Oh sweet, fluffy, adorable bunnies! I had a two pet bunnies when I was little.

Cool, just love that you have my WW button on display. Mega thanks! You’re such a sweetheart. Loved your visit & participation in my WW linky party! Whoo-hoo!

It’s always interesting to see how different the United States is to Europe. Have never been to the kind of events you describe. But I’m sure I would be familiar with them if I was American.

I remember these events. I used to work them. Being in law enforcement for 25 years you got to do lots of wonderful things like this.

    Have a terrific day. ☺

Bunnies! Nice of the church, businesses and firefighters to take time to teach others about their services.
