Almost Wordless Wednesday for A Cause: Feed the Hungry

June 12, 2013 By Mary Hill 4 Comments

By Mary Hill

Today’s Almost Wordless Wednessday on my blog is dedicated to a special cause: feeding the hungry.  Details are below. Thanks to the Executive Director of my local food bank, Barbara Turnburke for this information.

“Hunger Doesn’t Take a Vacation”
The Food Bank of Greenwood County is partnering with Greenwood County Community Foundation to raise awareness through Project “Hunger Doesn’t Take a Vacation”.  Please ask your friends and co-workers to support this worthy project.

Please go to: http://www.greenwoodgives.org/#./homepage
  1. Click on the Health and Human Services tab
  2. Click on “Hunger Doesn’t Take a Vacation”
  3. Donate to help the Food Bank of Greenwood County feed hungry children this Summer. To be successful, we will need to raise our goal of $600.00 by July 31, 2013.
  4. Thank you for your gift.
For information on a national campaign for feeding the hungry go to my other blog Mary-andering Thoughs and Issues.

Happy Birthday wishes to Ishan Lal! He requested donations for the Food Bank of Greenwood County South Carolina instead of presents for himself. What an amazing young man!

Ishan is a wonderful child. Feeding the hungry is so important and God did tell us to help those in need. Great post today Mary, I’m touched.
