A Monday Morning with Perry

October 14, 2013 By Mary Hill 13 Comments

By Mary Hill

“Do you have to put that thing in my face again?”

“She doesn’t deserve me, but I love her anyway …”

I can learn alot from Perry’s approach to life. He takes things one minute at a time. He’s not afraid to greet me in the morning with a love nip and declare in his own way, “time to get up and face your day.” If he could talk, I think he would also say, “Hey, you’re blessed. You’ve got me.”

Perry, I am blessed with you and all the beautiful creatures God has brought into my life through the years.

Job 12:7-10 β€œAsk the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds of the air, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish of the sea inform you. Which of these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.”

Animals have so much to teach us, if only we take the time to watch and learn. Their wisdom is genuine and sincere, as is their emotion.

Coincidentally the scripture makes me think of my Nano project this year that has a teen boy who really is a frog prince who has to help protect humans when the animal world becomes divided on whether humans deserve to live or not. And my villains are get this, dolphins. But trust me, these are some bad dolphins. Anyway your cat definitely believes it’s blessed and probably is. Which makes you blessed to have it too Mary. Enjoy your day.

What a beautiful kitty and a lovely post! You are right that they are not particularly fond of our photo efforts, I usually get once chance before they will deliberately turn away, especially if a flash is involved. The morning wake up call at my house usually has something to do with “I would like treats now please”! πŸ™‚ You are so right, our furkids bless our lives tremendously and bring us so much joy… and they never worry about tomorrow, how nice that would be!
