Have you ever come to a point in your life that it was time to take a sharp turn? My blogging life has come to this point. I don’t think you will notice a major change. I have always blogged about my faith. You will notice a deeper, more intense search for love, faith, and all of the fruits of the Spirit here. Most if not all my posts will have a devotional and accompanying scripture. God is good, and I intend to focus my energy on using my blogging as a ministry for Him.

Ministry and Fellowship

I sit in my living room tonight
Thinking and praying for light
Friends from a far and friends near
Gathering in and reaching out
We are here to minister and love one another.
Encouragement can come in a whisper
In a written word glowing on a screen
It can come from pictures
From quotes found on pinterest
In writing and sharing we find belonging and fellowship.

I used to love ….
So much and not enough. What I used to love is often things I never needed to begin with. I used to love watching too much television; I used to love not accomplishing anything and waiting.
Other things I used to love, I need to reclaim and recover. I used to love praying without ceasing. I need to reclaim a prayerful heart. I used to love finding peace in forgiveness. I have let bitterness take root in a sensitive area, and I need to find the peace and love that I used to love in forgiveness.

- What hobbies do you enjoy participating in during your spare time?

My main hobbies right now are reading and blogging. I have always wanted to learn more about photography and lately have become interested in geocaching. Geocaching is a treasure hunting game where you use a GPS to hide and seek containers with other participants in the activity.
The one hobby that I have tried that was not my cup of tea was scrapbooking. Sorry to all those crafters and super talented scrapbookers. I know it is fun, but I can’t cut a straight line much less zigzag and circles even with special cutting tools. Anyway, my blogging has become like a virtual scrapbook. I get to create layouts of memories to share.

I know, I keep saying that I will review this book soon. I will. I really am loving it. The story is about four friends tied together by a dream; three of them see this beautiful young girl with swirling, hypnotic eyes. The fourth is a skeptic who doesn’t believe in ghosts and thinks his friends are loony until they all get trapped in the whirling, mesmerizing eyes of the little girl and are sucked into a dark void only to fall out into an unknown town that is eerily familiar, but at the same time scary and different. They have to help the girl and find their way home. I can’t wait to find out what happens next in Eye Dancers by Michael S. Fedison http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/16182898-the-eye-dancers.

Small
Tonight is late and I have to think about “small.” We are all so small when we look at the infinite universe and our God. God crafted us in His image, but how can that be. He is such a mighty God and I am nothing.
Even as I write the lines, “I am nothing,” I feel a twinge. I am something even if small: a vessel for Him to pour into. Sometimes, the pouring seems like a deluge, and I feel even smaller. I can’t begin to hold the meaning of who He is in my small mind.
Some argue that He is a She. That small argument matters not to me. I am made in His image and He incorporates all of us “she’s” into Him. He is a mighty God and I am a small, weak vessel. My only significance is found in the amazing fact that : He loves me. He uses me. He feels me up with His love. My smallness becomes wonderment in His hands. He does this for all of us. Let Him in and find Him today. He never disappoints. His love is anything but small, fettered, or unattainable. It is large, free, and yours for the taking.

I totally get the “I used to love…” As God fashions and shapes me it seems my “loves…” have shifted. Some have faded and are again returning. I used to love playing guitar and that is returning. I’m glad I stopped by from FMF.

oh no, I hope you can find that peace and love once again…forgiveness is so powerful and difficult, but brings such relief.
