I was in labor with my daughter. I am going to go into the story more in October as I get closer to her 11th birthday. :'( It was the first night into my labor which lasted 36 hours, and they gave me really strong pain medication. Well, enough said. My husband said I actually got frisky with him while I was in labor with my daughter. I don’t remember any of it. Definitely a “Lucy-in-the-Sky-with-Diamonds” event.

Posts I love this week for Friday Flash Blog are:
Marci at Stone Cottage Adventures featured my post about our little bunnies this week as part of Tuesdays with a Twist. I love this hop because of all the inspirational bloggers that join every single week.

These sweet little bunnies are growing up so quick. They are Holland lops. Their ears are sticking up now but in a few weeks, their ears will be flopping over. Momma is a mini lop and dad is the smaller Holland lop. Did I mention they were sweet? Oh yea, I did. They love to snuggle. 🙂

Now if you have not checked out Marci’s piece of heaven on the blogosphere, you need to. Her blog features herb gardening, cooking, and crafting. I love her creative photography too. I don’t want to give anything else away and spoil your visit. You need to click on her button above and meander over for a visit. Tell her I sent ya’ll. She is from Arkansas, and I am from South Carolina. We are both true Southern gals.

I announced earlier this week that I joined my first affiliate program with The Christian Mommy Website. In addition to this great program, they have other opportunities to help you take your blogging to the next level. Their site is also full of great articles and low cost resources.
My favorite part of Christian Mommy Blogger is the opportunity to connect and fellowship on Fridays. Click on the hop button above and link up your devotional posts today.
Joining in the party again. I even tried to join this week’s Twitter party for 5 Minute Friday writers. I have been trying for the past two weeks but keep forgetting and sign on when most folks are off to bed. The party usually starts around 10 p.m. Thursdays and lasts until midnight. I am also such a newbie I don’t know really how to attend a Twitter party, yet. I will get it one of these days. You put this hashtag in all your comments so that everyone else can see your participation: #fmfparty
If you have read my Friday posts before then you know a little about the 5 Minute Friday link up. Writers visit Lisa Jo’s website get her weekly prompt anytime after midnight Friday. This week’s prompt is “last.” I have five minutes to write on the prompt “last.” I am not supposed to back up or edit for mistakes. Just let my words flow for five minutes. Then I go back to her page and link up my post for others to read. The number one rule is I am supposed to read the person’s post before and after mine and comment on them.
Start: 12:30
The last time we spoke,
My heart broke
We were such good friends before then
What happened to come between us?
I pray we will be restored to love and peace.
The last time I cried,
I was thinking about my dog Coco.
She has a breast lump which could be cancerous.
The vet has said she is too old to remove it.
She is 11; only six months older than my daughter.
Now we will have to let Coco go. Do dogs have souls?
Looking into her eyes, I think maybe.
Last is too sad a prompt. It conveys goodbyes.
We all have those unforgetable goodbyes in our minds and hearts.
I guess the only comfort is one day,
We will all gather in God’s kingdom and meet Jesus.
It will not be for the last time but for all eternity.
12:35 a.m.

Hi there – I find hard to believe how quickly each “back to school” comes around – although ours is at the end of February.
Cheers – Stewart M
I’d say at eleven she’s still little. Congrats on the reading award.

Oh my gosh I love that you tried to get frisky with your husband when in labor and don’t remember it. Yikes! And wow to your little girl being almost 11. I look forward to hearing more about the 36 hours (yikes) then!
‘Sending you a hug for Coco ((Mary)) It is so hard to lose a family member. Thank you for mentioning my blog. That is so very sweet of you! -Marci @ Stone Cottage Adventures
Best of luck with the affiliate program and glad to see more fun hops Mary.
Thanks for joining us for Friendship Friday at Create With Joy!
I’m glad your daughter’s school year is off to a great start!
Your 5 Minute Friday post, Last, REALLY touched my heart though!
I love that group and wish I had time to participate!
Have a wonderful weekend – I’ll be sharing some great books this weekend (including a giveaway for a series your daughter might enjoy!)
Thank you so much for putting a link to my blog, Mary! You have a lot of really good information for folks to enjoy!
So sorry to hear about your dog, Coco. Goodbyes are always very sad.
Lisa, thanks for stopping by. 🙂
Kids grow up too fast. And thank you so much for the mention.
I can totally imagine being in labor for 36 hours would make anyone not be themselves and will give you that one for sure Mary. But seriously thank you for sharing this and look forward to hearing more as it does get closer to your daughter’s birthday. Happy as always to have you link up with us!! 🙂
Janine anytime. I love reading the posts. Just keeps me so busy.
I got stuck on Coco as our dog is turning 11 in October. We baby her so. They do have souls. They just have to.
Have a terrific day and weekend. ☺
I believe they do. The lion will lay down with the lamb a scripture says. Her eyes glisten and shine. I am holding on. Thank you for your encouragement.
Mary, thank you so much for sharing honestly on Last. It’s amazing how we all come up with completely different reflections on the same prompt. Also as a fellow dog mama, I’m so sorry to hear about Coco. I pray God brings comfort to you and your family during this time.
Thank you for the prayers. 🙂
