It is Friendship Friday Hop Day sponsored by Create with Joy and guess what the theme is about: game! I love games of all kinds. My favorite board games include Life and Clue. We play Life a lot with my daughter. It is a great way to teach her money skills. She always wants to be a doctor because if she draws the right card she can make $100,000 a year. I love buying the houses and then I sale my first one to get a better house. Sometime’s I end up withe fixer-uper or the trailer. π That is the risk I take though. What is your favorite part of Life if you play? Now with Clue, I love Ms. Scarlett. I try to get her character. My favorite room is the library, of course. I am a retired school librarian.
I don’t have a favorite weapon though that is too macabre.
As far as my favorite game system, it is none. I don’t like video games, Facebook games, or any electronic games. I have too much writing to do.
I am working on a board game activity for my daughter to help prepare her for fifth grade. Remember, we are working on getting me ready for “Are You Smarter than A Fifth Grader?” As a retired school librarian, I know how to access my state standards for fifth grade; so, I know the material she will be covering. I will blog more on that later next week, so stayed tuned.

My other fun activities include reading books, writing, and dreaming about gardening. I only have a few pots this year. (Another blog topic.)
The Sentence to Finish This Week Is:
“I hit a turning point in my life when I…”
As you grow older, you experience several turning points where the decisions you make change the directions your life take. I have had three such points, and they all involved relationships. The first one, I regretted but God delivered me from my bad choice. The second, I decided to leave a bad relationship that involved abuse. The third, I took a chance and went to a dance hall. Sounds like a country music song doesn’t it?
If you are a woman, choosing that man is always a pivotal point in your life. You have to know, you know, that you love him and that he is whom God intended for you. I don’t have time to go into details about all of this. I have touched upon some of it in prior blog entries.
Okay, I have other blog hops on Friday that I love participating in so here is a quick run down with the links. These are great, and because I have participated in them, my blog readership has sky rocketed. I have gone from about 1,000 page views a month to over 2500 in May. There is nowhere else to go but up from here. I am going to keep particpating and working to build an audience. I am working on a novel too that I hope to finish this year. I really appreciate my readers and the support that I have received since I started blogging February.
Sponsored by the Funny Postpartum Lady, this blog hop is filled with great opportunities to connect and get new readers. A not miss. π

So you’re writing a book? Awesome! Good for you. I’m working on a book too. It’s taking forever because I don’t get much time to work on it, but I’m moving forward.
I found that the blog hops really increased my traffic too. They’re awesome!!! π
So glad your bad choice ended up being left behind. I, too, talked about choices in the FTSF hop. Glad I came.

Hi will do. Thanks. I already follow you on bloglovin. I double check though.
We are a family of gamers- and I don’t mean the electronic kind. Now, having said that, I must admit to being hooked on a couple of games on the iPad, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how much my grandbabies like a good game of Chutes & Ladders, Go Fish and dominoes. About as basic as you can get, and there’s something refreshing and endearing in that. BB2U
Oh, I love games of all kinds too, what fun. And I always try to get the library too since I’m a librarian and have been in love with libraries since I was a kid.
Happy weekend to you! π
I enjoy visiting your blog and today was no exception.
Have a pleasant week-end.
Yvonne.
A guy was also the main focal point in my post today about my turning point. The guy, of course, was my husband, but yes I can totally relate Mary. Thank you for linking up with us once again, too!! π
Awesome Friendship Friday post – loved walking down memory lane with you and reliving some of my favorite games!
I remember playing the Game of Life growing up and thinking it had the coolest board!
Have a fabulous weekend and hope to see you for Inspire Me Monday!
I’m glad your bad choice got sorted out – there is grace enough for all.
Congrats on how your blog’s going – if you like Friday hops, you may be interested in the brand new Weekend-long hop I’ve got starting tomorrow – feel free to come on over and take a peek π
“I hit a turning point in my life when I…” decided to start my blog Queendsheena. I had made other attempts at blogging but it didn’t pan out in the long run. But Queendsheena transformed my life by introducing me to the great supportive world of writers and bloggers. And blogger is such a great blogging website. I wished I had a family who was into board games. I remember playing Monopoly and Snakes and ladders with my family as a child. I played Life while over at a friend’s house as a teenager. It’s a wonderful game.
Congrats on the more than double jump in page views. I like video games but I stopped playing facebook after I got off my Farmville addiction (yes it’s real). Picking a man is very important and more so the right one. Friendship Friday Hop Day sounds so sweet and glad you have such fun with your daughter. Enjoy your weekend.
