A Delicious, Healthy Green Drink Recipe

Disclaimer:   Institute for Vibrant Living is sponsoring this post; however, this is an honest review of their product, All Day Energy Greens.

I love vegetables. I wanted to try something to help me lose weight. I saw this campaign on Sverve for a free trial of All Day Energy Greens from the Institute for Vibrant Living. I wanted to give it a try; so I signed up.

When I got the package I took one of the samples to my doctor. She read the ingredients, and she said it looked good. (Note: your health needs are different from mine; so do like I did and get clearance from your doctor before trying anything new.)  Excited, I decided to replace one meal daily with this green drink which has five servings of vegetables and fruit in it. I have been blending this recipe below for about a week.

All Day Energy Greens came in an easy to use packet. First, I tried to drink the green drink in a glass of juice. I will be honest with you. I did not like this much at all; so, I decided to get a little creative and make a smoothie. First, I experimented with a variety of homemade recipes then I hit on this simple, delicious recipe.  I used one cup of vanilla flavored Silk and the packet.
Added a cup of Fruit at the Bottom Yogurt, any kind. I used the Bi-lo brand.

I added about five of these sliced strawberries with about four to five ice cubes.

Blended all this together until smooth and creamy. Then poured into my glass. I decided to get a little creative and added a strawberry on top. I lucked up and found one that was heart shaped. Look how pretty it turned out!

I promise this was yummy.  I drank and felt very full. It was like getting one of those fancy smoothies at a coffee shop or Smoothie King at home.  Delicious.

I have been drinking these green drinks for breakfast for about a week now. I feel full all morning and great.  I have lost five pounds too! I can’t guarantee you the same results in losing weight. If you like yogurt, strawberries, and vanilla Silk milk, however, you will love the taste of this recipe. Plus, you are getting a full day supply of veggies too. Win, win in my book.  Hope you visit the Institute for Vibrant Living and find out more about this product.

Hi Mary! My husband and I were just reading a book on losing weight (UGH!) and there were a lot of juicing recipes. I have never really gotten into juicing, but they even had recipes with spinach, so I think that’s where the green comes in.

Maybe smoothies would be the way to go. Better than drinking liquid vegetables, which just doesn’t appeal to me.

This post was meant for me! Thank you so much for sharing what you know 🙂
