This has been a favorite hop of mine since this summer and it seems to getting bigger and better every week. The rules are simple. At 9ish or so on Thursdays evenings, you meet up with Lisa Jo Baker and a bunch of friends at #fmfparty on Twitter. We have a great time chatting about our week; and at 10 p.m. Lisa Jo announces the topic for 5 Minute Friday. Then for five minutes you type like a banshee on the assigned topic, remembering there is not supposed to be any backtracking or correcting. Just pure typing of whatever comes to mind. You post your 5 Minute Friday on your blog then you go to lisajobaker.com to link up with other participants, remember to put the url for our post not your blog into the link form. I really enjoy meeting the ladies when I remember to make it to the party on time. The only other rule is to visit the blogs before and after yours to spread comment love.
This week’s prompt is True:
1:50 p.m.
Is it true that God made the world in its finery and glory? He made it all for you and me. It is true.
He molded us in His likeness. It is true.
He breathed His Holy Spirit into us when we accepted His son and all the blessings that He offers. It is true.
He guides us daily and never leaves us. It is true.
He is our everything, and He is all we need. It is true.
He loves us like a parent, with that chest crushing love, that makes the heart beat wildly just by hugging and breathing in the smell of the child’s hair. It is true.
His blessings know no ending. It is true.
His calling is sweet, beckoning, and alluring. It is true.
He waits for us to grow closer to Him in truth and knowledge. It is true.
He is a mystery yet receiving Him into our being is not a mystery. We just have to open our hearts to His love. That is the biggest truth of them all. He is waiting for you too.
1:55 end

The article appears in October, and I will post a link then. This issue is an important one to me personally. I hope you will pray for all those caught in the trap of domestic violence. Family should be like mine is now: a place of refugee, blessings, and love.
May God bless you with inspiration, love and peace!
My inspirational verse for today:
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

I absolutely love your bird feeder! I am glad you had the courage to flee from your abusive relationship. I left my first husband, because I felt it was getting to that point with him. Have a wonderful week!
You are extremely brave and powerful. Leaving an abusive relationship is NOT easy. They make a person think that they are needed, owed, and deserving. Huge love and hugs to you for getting out.
God deserves all the credit. He helped me every step of the way. At the time, I thought my world was falling apart, but now, I see His Hand covering me, protecting, and guiding me to safety and blessings. 🙂
Love that cutie with the flowers. 🙂 Thanks for sharing. I’m visiting from FMF. I’ve been thinking about that verse that says “we love because He first loved us.” So simple but so profound! It goes well with your post. 🙂
Hi, thanks so much. 🙂 I really appreciate your comments and support.
Cannot deny you are a very brave lady and after re-reading your original post, I will never argue on that. Thank you again for sharing your story here with us all today. Loved seeing the pictures of your family above and can’t thank you enough for also linking up again today with us!! 🙂
“He loves us like a parent, with that chest crushing love, that makes the heart beat wildly just by hugging and breathing in the smell of the child’s hair.”
I totally get this and love it. Thanks for writing such beauty. Visiting from FMF!
What an upbeat post. I love it.
Have a terrific day and a blessed weekend. ☺
