10 Things Thankful for July 4th

July 7, 2014 By Mary Hill 5 Comments

By Mary Hill

It is a holiday weekend here in the U.S. as we celebrate our Independence Day Holiday.  I have enjoyed family time and fun.

We spent time in Greenville, SC for the Fourth as we waited for the annual fireworks extravaganza downtown.

The fireworks were lovely just as our time together was special.

We at Grill Marks in downtown Greenville before the fireworks show and had excellent food and enjoyed their terrific shakes.

Today, we went to church and learned about freedom from spiritual weights. Jesus is the answer.

Then tonight, I worked on my container garden to save my basil which had become root bound in the small container. Now, I have two containers of basil. Next I will have to split up my bee balm.

I hope everyone had a productive weekend of fun and family time. Happy Independence Day to all my readers in the U.S. and merry Sunday to my readers in other countries. đꙂ

Your firework pictures are amazing! I tried to take some with my iphone camera, but they were terrible. Glad you had a great weekend!

tho I am not overly into fireworks (at least those attempted by the neighbors… our dogs, like most dogs, are not amused), your photos are very impressive. They show what it is that is coolest about fireworks displays!

Those fireworks are absolutely gorgeous. I haven’t had a chance to see the Canada Day ones up here in a few years due to having young ones. I look forward to when they are a bit older and we can take them downtown to see the show here.

It sounds like you had a great long weekend – Louise
