| Getting ready for planting. |
My blogging break is coming to an end. What better way to start up again then to participate in the Ten Things of Thankful #50. Our wonderful founder, Lizzy, is about to celebrating the one year anniversary of Ten Things of Thankful. It is hard to believe that we have gathered as a community for almost a year to celebrate our small victories and happiness, reflecting on positive happenings in the hopes of spreading joy and love.
I enjoy this hop every week. I have been faithful at creating my list; well, at least up until May of this year when I took a four week break. I needed the break to regroup and find direction. I had a tough time emotionally with issues impacting my health and family in the past month, but God has been good and seen me through them.
So without further ado, here is my list this week.
1. I am thankful that my health is turning around for the better overall. I know I still struggle with pain, but my month-long rest has helped me refocus on what I need to do to improve my overall health.
2. My step-daughter, Megan, has been such a great help these past few weeks around the house. I struggled to run my vacuum, but she was there to help me catch up with my housework at least once a week during them month of May.
3. My youngest daughter had a so-so softball season, but her team finished second in their tournament. They improved their softball skills greatly during the last few weeks.
4. Despite, my health issues, I was able to attend the last few home games. She hit a base run in the game before last and really backed up team and helped them win.
5. Pollen season is almost over. My family and I have struggled with allergies all Spring, but they are lessening as we head into summer.
6. My wonderful husband built our grand-kids a great sandbox and installed it at their home. They are enjoying the sand play.

7. My daughter is finishing her school year on a high note. She made the A Honor Roll for the full year. Plus, she received the President Academic Achievement Award. I am so proud of her achievements.
8. Also, my daughter surpassed her Accelerated Reader goals for the year and as a reward, she got a limo ride to Pizza Hut for a special party.
9. We are a smaller household again. Our other step-daughter and her fiance moved out recently. I hoping they are going to do well and succeed in their goals for the future.
10. We are going to a swimming party today with Katie Rose. Her team is having a celebration as they end their season.
11. One quick other small celebration. We have bunnies again. I am going to do a special spread for Wordless Wednesday; so stay-tuned for cute pics.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. π

It’s good to see you back, Mary! I’m sorry you’ve been gone for health reasons, but glad you’re feeling better and that the four weeks off were beneficial for your health and life all the way around.
Katie Rose has ended her school year with a bang! Congratulations on the awards for her! And even with a so-so softball season, she got to play and still learn from it.
Looking forward to bunny pictures!
Aw bunnies? Congratulations to your daughter – what a treat to have a limo ride. I’m so sorry that you’ve had pain and health struggles but happy to read that things seem to be improving for you.

Welcome back! Glad the blog hiatus turned into a plus. COngrats to your daughter and in fact to all of you … she is quite the achiever!
That’s one HECK of a car your daughter got to ride in! WOW!. Is it a stretch hummer? Good for her, though, for doing so well and achieving so much.
I’m glad you’re feeling a bit more positive about blogging, and that you’re back from your break. Also glad to hear you’re managing in spite of the pain, and that your family are rallying around you. That makes so much difference.
Thanks so much. I really enjoy your visits. π
