I will be honest with you. I have had a rough week. Nothing serious other than pain causing me to feel like I have hit a brick wall as a writer.
1. However, thankfullness is essential to your well being. Paul told King Agripa, “I think myself happy.” He had it a lot rougher than I ever have. I am not sitting in a prison because of my beliefs and love for Jesus.
2. I am able to write this today. It might not me be much but it is something. I know this other hop about celebrate the small things. I celebrate that I can type and write.
3. My little dog, Lily, had fleas, but my husband gave her a bath. I haven’t been able too because of my pain and mobility issues. She looked so happy afterward. I should have taken a picture of her rubbing and wagging her tale as she rubbed on the rugs.
4. I had some great hash made by a friend of my husband. It was a simple, delicious meal. God provides what we need every single day.
5. I love watching Food Network. They had their 20th Anniversary Celebration show this week. I can’t believe I have watched something for 20 years.

It really is eye-opening to write down what you are thankful for. Even in the worst weeks, there is still so much to be grateful for. Hoping your pain lessens and you feel better this week!
I LOVE the Food Network too!!! We don’t get it at home so if ever we are away…I go on a marathon watching it. π
Sorry to hear about your mom. I hope you both start to feel better soon. I love Amy Grant as well. Thanks for sharing those 2 songs!
There is plenty to be grateful for. My fatigue has affected my writing and I’m currently behind on Nano. But I’m still grateful for what I’m able to write and hold unto the hope of finishing in time. Sorry about the pain but I’m glad you’re still here and able to blog.
Thanks for sharing this! So beautiful.

We used to have a little dog named Lily. π
Wishing you a great pain-free week! Thank you for linking to Super Sunday Sync.
I watched the 20th anniversary show, too. I haven’t watched all 20 years, but over the last few, it has become one of my favorite channels.
I’ve been feeling quite a bit of pain myself this week. It’s a big frustration, but keeping an eye on the good things in life help take the edge off the pain. Glad you are finding the good things, too.
I will be praying for your mom.
Such a beautiful, heartfelt list, Mary! Yes, even on the weeks when I feel a little grumpy and ungrateful, once I start working on that list my whole attitude changes, and by the end I am always smiling and uplifted. I stand by the truth that in every situation there are always blessings to be recounted, just as you have done in this wonderful post! Often life isn’t about cheering at the high moments, it’s about tears of relief and joy when we make it through the hard ones, and all those people who reach out to help us get through! I hope this coming week will find you feeling so much better! Thank you for using your energy to share your list with us today!
I love your #11. Sending out prayers for your Mom and you, that you both heal quickly and are back to a more manageable place, health-wise. So glad that you were able to write this, and notice the difference in your mood – THAT’S where it’s at π You’re rocking this π
Take good care over this coming week, Mary, and take it easy where possible.
I’ll keep your mom in my prayers.
You’re right: we all have difficulties, but when we rely upon the Lord, He can support us in our trials.
Hi, Mary. I was sorry to hear about what happened. I hope next week is better for you, and that Mum and you feel better soon. Bless you both x
